Beekeeping, hyperbolic geometry, the Bayeux Tapestry, medieval bestiaries, and pirates were among the topics on offer this afternoon. Be sure to ask a Trinity student about todays festival of learning!
Some glimpses of a few of the classes offered this morning for Das Lernvergnugenfest. Students have been learning Georgian singing, the science of delicious food, reenacting battles, decorating cakes, sculpting, metalsmithing, other languages, and the skill of conducting to name just a few of the amazing options they have to choose from.

Thursday, April 11th, at a five-school conference meet the Trinity School Girls Team placed 1st, and the Boys Team placed 3rd. Students from Cristo Rey Jesuit High School, Saint Agnes, St. Croix Lutheran Academy, St. Croix Preparatory Academy and Trinity School at River Ridge participated in the meet.
Mr. LeMaire teaches studio art to 6th, 7th, 8th, 11th and 12th graders and Art History to 11th and 12th graders. His artistic background includes work with ceramics, oil painting, drawing, printmaking and furniture design. Recently, Ms. Abigail Williams and the 10th grade girls discussed Dostoevsky’s novel Crime and Punishment. The name of the protagonist, Raskolnikov, comes from a Russian word meaning “to break or to shatter.” The students aimed to articulate the different ways Raskolnikov is portrayed as a broken or shattered man in the novel.
Senior Mariah received the Athena Award for athletic excellence along with girls from other participating schools, at an award ceremony on Wednesday. Each school selects its award winner.
